Email isn't getting through
If you're not receiving email you expect, or the messages you send aren't arriving, there can be several causes. Here are the most common fixes.
Check the spam folder
Sometimes emails land in the Spam folder by mistake. Check whether the email you're waiting for is there:
- Go to the email list
- Choose the Spam folder from the folder menu
- Search for the email if it isn't visible
Tips
Emails in Spam are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Look for filters or rules
You may have created a filter that moves incoming email to another folder:
- Go to Settings → Spam and filters
- Review your rules to see if any might affect what you receive
- Try temporarily disabling rules to test
The sender might be blocked
If you're not getting email from a specific sender, they may be blocked in our system:
- Go to Settings → Spam and filters
- Review the Blocked senders list
- Remove any blocks that might affect what you receive
For outgoing email
If the emails you send aren't reaching the recipient:
- Check the Sent folder to confirm the email was sent
- Ask the recipient to check their Spam folder
- Ask the recipient to add your email address to their contacts
