Delete account
You can delete your onmeil.eu account at any time. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone once you confirm it.
This action can't be undone
All your content is deleted, and there's no "undo" button. Think it through first, and consider exporting your data if you want a copy.
What gets deleted
- Emails in every folder (inbox, sent, drafts, archive, trash)
- Files and folders in onmeil.eu Files
- Calendar events and calendars you own
- Contacts in your address book
- Personal settings, filters, and labels
- Your profile and account information
Your email address is never reused — neither automatically nor by other customers. If your account is linked to other services (banks, subscriptions, other apps), you should still update them to a new address before you delete, so you keep getting important mail from them.
Export your data first
Want to keep a copy of your email, contacts, or calendar? You can download everything before you delete the account:
- Go to Settings → Import
- Scroll down to Export and click Export your data
- Choose what to include (email, contacts, calendar)
- Click Start export and wait until it's ready
- Click Download zip when the package is finished
Available for 7 days
The download link for the finished zip stays active for 7 days. If you need more time, create a new export.
How to delete your account
- Go to Settings → Login and security
- Scroll down to Delete account
- Click Delete account
- We'll send a security code by SMS to the mobile number you have on file
- Enter the code and type the word
DELETEto confirm - Click Delete
The account is deleted right away. You're logged out and can't log back in — the address no longer exists.
You need access to your mobile number
The SMS confirmation is the last barrier against unauthorized deletion. If you no longer have access to the phone number on file, you first need to update it under Login and security.
If you change your mind
Deletion itself has no automatic "undo" button — as soon as you confirm with the SMS code, the process starts.
But: we never reuse a deleted email address. Neither automatically nor for other customers. That means if you contact support within a reasonable time, we may be able to help you recover the address.
Send us a message as soon as you realize you've changed your mind — the sooner, the better the chance we can sort it out.
