Templates
Templates are pre-written emails you can pull up in the compose window with a single click — perfect for messages you send often, like standard replies, quotes, or set responses.
You'll find them under Settings → Templates.
Create a new template
- Go to Settings → Templates
- Click New template
- Give the template a name
- Write the content (subject and body)
- Save
You can use bold text, lists, links, and images just like in a regular email.
Use a template while writing
- Open the compose window (New email or the
Ckey) - Click the template icon in the toolbar
- Pick the template from the list — its content is added to the email
You can edit the content before sending — the template isn't overwritten.
Edit or delete a template
Under Settings → Templates:
- Click a template to edit its name or content
- Click the delete icon to remove the template
Where templates are stored
Locally in your browser
Templates are stored locally in your browser for now. That means they don't sync across devices or browsers — you'll have to recreate them if you switch computers or use onmeil.eu in a different browser.
Syncing across devices is coming in a later version.
For emails you send often and need access to from several devices, you can temporarily:
- Save the template as a draft in the Sent folder
- Or use a default signature if it's a standard rejection or a contact block
