The Welcome Tour
When you log in to onmeil.eu for the first time, a short welcome tour pops up in your browser — a four-screen walkthrough that introduces what the service is all about. You can skip it at any time and reopen it later if you like.
The four screens
Screen 1: Welcome
Welcome to onmeil.eu
Hi {first name}. Private email. A complete Norwegian office suite.
Inbox, calendar, contacts, and files — built and operated in Norway.
A quick introduction to what onmeil.eu is.
Screen 2: Your data. Your rules.
The main point about privacy:
- We don't read your mail.
- We don't build a profile of you.
- No ads, no tracking, no AI training.
- Norwegian servers. Norwegian law. No detours via the US.
Screen 3: Everything you need, in one place
An overview of what the service offers:
- Email — your own onmeil.eu address, IMAP and SMTP
- Calendar — with video meetings right in your browser
- Contacts — synced across all your devices
- Files — sharing with passwords and expiry dates
Plus: Shared storage for email, files, and calendar.
Screen 4: Ready? Let's get started.
Three quick things you can do right now:
- Write your first email
- Set up email on your phone
- Import contacts
Click Go to inbox to close the tour and jump straight to your mail.
Moving between screens
- Next — go to the next screen
- Back — go to the previous screen
- Skip — close the tour right away
You can also click directly on one of the four step numbers at the top of the tour to jump straight to a specific screen.
Reopening the welcome tour later
Want to see it again — maybe to explain onmeil.eu to someone else, or to remind yourself what it's all about?
- Go to Settings → Preferences
- Scroll down to the HELP section
- Click Show introduction
The welcome tour opens on the first screen again.
Skipped it the first time?
If you click Skip the first time you log in, that's perfectly fine — you go straight to your inbox and can explore onmeil.eu at your own pace. You can always open the tour later from Settings.
