Notifications
Under Settings → Notifications, you control how and when onmeil.eu alerts you about new emails, and how your browser should handle email links you click outside the app.
Push notifications
You can get a notification in your browser or on your phone when a new email arrives.
- Tap Enable under Push notifications
- Your browser asks for permission — accept it
- From now on, you get a system notification whenever a new email arrives
If you want to turn them off again, you can do so from your browser's site permission settings.
Push notifications on your phone
Push works best if you've installed onmeil.eu as an app on your phone (PWA). See Mobile app and PWA for how to do it.
Browser integration
When you click an email address anywhere on the web — for example a mailto: link on a website — onmeil.eu can be set as the default email app in your browser.
- Under Browser integration, tap Set as default
- Your browser asks for confirmation — accept it
After this, new emails open automatically in onmeil.eu when you click an email address.
Quiet hours
Quiet hours turn off push notifications during a window you choose — for example between 10 PM and 7 AM.
- Turn on ENABLE QUIET HOURS
- Choose a start and end time
When quiet hours are on, notifications still land in your inbox as usual, but you won't be interrupted by push.
