Profile and identity

Under Settings → Identity you can see how your account looks to others — your name, email address, avatar, and signature. You'll also find aliases and your signature on the same page.

Profile header

At the top of the panel you'll see:

• Avatar — two letters based on your name. Click Change picture to upload your own profile photo.
• Your name — shown as "{First name} {Last name}"
• Your email address — with a copy button next to it
• Plan badge — FREE, PLUS, or PRO

Sender name

Your sender name is what the recipient sees in the From field of your emails — for example, "Per Pettersen <per@onmeil.eu>".

1. Type the sender name you want
2. Save

You can use your first name, your full name, or even a job title — like "Doc Tester, CEO".

Birthday

If you enter your birthday, it can sync to your calendar and show up in other people's calendars if they have you as a contact. This field is optional.

1. Pick a date in the date picker (month / day / year)
2. The change is saved automatically

You control separately whether your birthday appears in the calendar — see Contacts for that setting.

Change your profile picture

1. Click Change picture on the avatar at the top
2. Choose an image from your device (recommended: square, 256×256 pixels or larger)
3. The image uploads and appears right away

Your profile picture is used in:

• The recipient's inbox (if their email client supports it)
• When you share an event, file, or folder with others
• In meeting rooms and calendar participant lists

To remove the picture, upload a blank one or choose the default avatar again.

Where do your name and picture appear?

When you delete your account

Your profile information, sender name, birthday, avatar, and email addresses are permanently deleted when you delete your account. See Delete account.
