VIP senders

The VIP list lets you highlight email from your most important people — your boss, your partner, an especially important client. Email from VIP senders gets a VIP badge in the list and is sorted first, so it doesn't get buried under newsletters and automated messages.

You'll find the list under Settings → VIP senders (or directly under Identity).

Add a VIP sender

1. Go to the VIP list in settings
2. Enter the email address in the sender@example.com field
3. Enter a name for the person (optional — just for your own reference)
4. Click Add

The person is now on the list. Email from this address gets a VIP badge right away.

How VIP senders appear

In the email list, VIP messages are marked with a small badge next to the name — you can tell at a glance that it's something worth reading.

In the inbox, VIP messages are sorted first, so they don't disappear under newsletters and notifications.

Remove a VIP

1. Find the row in the VIP list
2. Click the remove icon
3. Confirm: "Remove {email} from the VIP list?"

Where is the VIP list stored?

Locally in your browser

The VIP list is stored locally in this browser. That means it does not sync between devices or browsers — you'll need to add the VIP senders again if you switch computers or use onmeil.eu in a different browser.

Syncing across devices is coming in a later version.

Tips

• Use VIP for people, not for categories. Companies, newsletters, and automated accounts don't belong here — use labels or filters instead
• Keep the list short. If half your inbox is VIP, the badge loses its meaning
