Change password
You can change your password at any time using your recovery method (SMS or email). Once you've changed it, you'll be signed out on all devices and will need to sign in again.
How to change your password
1. Open password settings
- Go to Settings → Login and security
- Click Change password
2. Choose a recovery method
- Choose whether to receive the one-time code by SMS or email
- The address or phone number is partly hidden to protect your privacy
- Click Send code
Tips
The code is sent right away and is valid for a short time.
3. Enter the one-time code
- Check your SMS or email for the 6-digit code
- Type the code into the One-time code field
4. Choose a new password
- Enter a New password (at least 8 characters)
- Confirm it in the Confirm new password field
- For good strength, the password must contain a mix of letters and numbers
- Click Update password
Remember
Once your password is changed, you're automatically signed out on all devices and must sign in again with the new password.
Common problems
Not receiving the code?
- Make sure you chose the right delivery method
- Wait a few minutes and try Send code again
- Check your spam folder for the email
Code not working?
- One-time codes expire after a short time
- Click Send code to get a new one
App passwords? If you use app passwords for email programs, they must be recreated after a password change.
Tips
For better security, we recommend enabling two-factor authentication in addition to a strong password.
